Sibenik to Trogir: top marinas to refresh and unwind

Where to recharge, access marina amenities, and rejuvenate.

Here we are with another installment of our top marina recommendations. This round, we're focussing in on the stretch from Sibenik to Trogir. Curious about which marinas rise above the rest in service? Or where to kick back and maybe even catch some lively nightlife? And let's not forget about the places that'll keep you safe when the waves get wild. Read on to find out.

D-Marin Mandalina Marina

One of the safest ports around, Mandalina Marina is a hub for both charter companies and some very luxurious celebrity yachts, with space for 440 boats. While you're there, Sibenik's old town is a must-visit, boasting two UNESCO monuments — St. James Cathedral and St. Michael's Fortress.

We love both Mandalina Marina and the town of Sibenik, and we cover them in much more detail in our top marina picks in Croatia and our article on the benefits of sailing out of Sibenik.

Sibenik's old town

Kremik Marina

Distinguishable from a distance by the iconic Virgin Mary statue, this lesser-known yet charming marina provides shelter from wind and waves. Standard amenities are on offer, plus a delightful on-site restaurant. Enjoy peaceful surroundings, without loud parties and bustling tourists. An inviting hiking trail leads from the marina to Primosten, with a scenic lighthouse along the way and a cozy beach within the marina itself.

What to see around Kremik Marina?

If you visit only one place in the vicinity of Kremik Marina, it should definitely be the town of Primosten. Situated on the coast, its historic centre is on a peninsula that juts out into the sea. The view of this town from afar is absolutely magical. Stroll along the local coastal promenade or wander the small streets of the centre. Then drop into one of the local taverns. Find out what food and drink to sample in Croatia.

YACHTING.COM TIP: We really liked the restaurant Konoba Dvor. It is situated on a hill in the historical heart of Primosten and its atmosphere, especially in the evening, is amazing. In addition, the food is excellent, the staff are pleasant and there's a lot of fine wines on offer. We recommend making a reservation in advance though as they get quite full in high season.

Boats in Kremik Marina

There are over 100 boats available for rent in the Kremik Marina. So there is something for everyone. From sailboats such as the big Hanse 455, the classic Bavaria 46 Cruiser or the Elan E5 to catamarans such as the popular Lagoon 42, the majestic Dufour Catamaran 48 or the motor-driven Cervetti 44 Power.

Frapa Marina (Rogoznica)

This marina has been voted the best marina on the Adriatic 15 times. We can only agree. In terms of services, you can use basically everything you can think of (petrol station, exchange office, sanitary facilities, electricity, water, reception, swimming pool, bar, wellness & spa, Tesla charger,...). You'll find a nice beach right there, so you don't have to give up swimming in the sea even if you are moored. Or take a stroll to the eastern part of Rogoznica for a swim.

YACHTING TIP.COM: If you don't want to pay so much for a berth at the pier or don't feel like visiting a large marina, try the local town pier, which is on your right as you enter the bay. A night here is significantly cheaper than at the marina, the only downside being tourists walking along the pier and looking at the boats, so you'll have less privacy.

What to see around Frapa Marina?

The centre of Rogoznica is within walking distance of the marina and there are plenty of restaurants and cafés. You can't go wrong with a dinner at Konoba Maslina, and we highly recommend going here. Not far from Rogoznica is a natural phenomenon called Dragon's Eye Lake. Formed through a fascinating geomorphological process, it attracts both tourists and geological experts keen to study the area.

YACHTING.COM TIP FOR ADULTS: The Frapa marina is also home to the first gentlemen's club in Croatia, named Club "Cristal". With its exquisite decor and commendable service, it's the ideal spot for gentlemen seeking a refined place to enjoy a drink.

Boats in Frapa Marina

It currently has over 150 boats as their home marina. Every sailor can find their dream boat for a holiday here. Would you like a classic Bavaria 46 Cruiser or would you prefer an unconventional Dehler 42 or Atoll 6? If you prefer two hulls, don't miss the Bali 4.0 or Lagoon 40. There is also a nice selection of Oceanis boats in the charter fleet, such as the Oceanis 34.1 or the slightly larger Oceanis 41.1.

Baotić Marina

Near the town of Trogir, there are two marinas, which sometimes leads to confusion. To clarify, Baotić Marina is located just outside the town, while ACI Marina Trogir is positioned directly opposite the historic centre. Baotić Marina is the ideal holiday destination, offering a comprehensive range of facilities such as sanitary amenities, showers, luggage storage, self-service laundry, a swimming pool, petrol station, supermarket, ATM, bar, restaurant, and car and bike rental options.

What to see around Baotić Marina?

If you are in the vicinity of Trogir, you should not miss a visit to its historical centre, namely the main square, the fortress and the coastal promenade. Unfortunately, it is quite far to the centre of Trogir from the marina, so we recommend taking a taxi.

Trogir

Trogir is one of the most beautiful towns in Croatia.

Boats in Baotić Marina

There is a really large number of catamarans for rent in Baotić Marina, making it perfect for those who appreciate two hulls. We recommend the Lagoon 450, Isla 40, Astréa 42, Aura 51, Elba 45 or Fountaine Pajot Saona 47. Never tried a catamaran?
