Oceanis 48
A great combination of comfort and an interesting ride. This boat has a very nice hull shape, elegant curves and is very pleasant to be on. We recommend her to families with children as well as to groups of enthusiastic sailors racing with the wind.
If you like to sail, ask our sales staff about the type of mainsail model you are looking for. Some Oceanis 48's have a full-beam, others a half-beam and some others a furling mainsail. It's an important detail, you'll enjoy more trim, therefore more sailing fun, with a spar mainsail.
Equipment
Most Oceanis 48 boats have a beautiful teak deck that is a joy to walk on (but also to lie on while sunbathing). The specific amenities vary from boat to boat, usually with standard equipment such as a baden plateau, refrigerator, dinghy, sprayhood (cockpit canopy), bow thruster (docking device) and on some, air conditioning, generator or television.
Where can you sail from?
The traditional destinations where you will see these models are mainly Croatia, Greece and Italy. In Montenegro we offer the Oceanis 48 Korcula, but you can also try the Oceanis 48 Economy in Malta, the Oceanis 48 Roxanna in Ibiza, the Oceanis 48 Calypso in Australia or the Oceanis 48 Levanzo in Corsica.
Beneteau Group shipyards
Originally a French company, it represents a large number of smaller companies involved in the shipping industry, such as Jeanneau, Lagoon, Prestige, Excess... Founded in 1884 by Benjamin Bénéteau, the brand still has the hallmark of a traditional family business, as it is still run by distant relatives of the founder. Today, it is a group of companies with an impressive portfolio.
Innovation and prestige
Beneteau prides itself on research and innovation. Their boats take part in the most prestigious yacht races around the world. For example, the Figaro model pioneered the use of foils in racing sailboats. They have a reputation as a true authority in the world of boat building. The fact that the best designers and architects in the world regularly apply for employment with this manufacturer is testament to its extraordinary prestige.
The most popular models
Beneteau's best-known brands include the cruiser Oceanis, the slightly sportier First and the sport-racing Figaro. Among the powerboats, the Flyer, Swift Trawler, Gran Turismo or Antares stand out. Most popular on the charter market are the Oceanis 38.1 for holiday cruising, the First 35 for regattas or sport cruising and the Antares 36 for fast motoring.
