This is a medium sized charter sailboat with a length of 14.75 m, which in our opinion is the ideal size. It offers plenty of room, but at the same time you won't worry so much about rounding the harbour and most skipper's licences are valid for this length.
Capacity and equipment
Most Oceanis 50 models are designed to accommodate 9 to 12 people in 4 to 6 cabins and use 3 or 4 bathrooms. A certain amount of comfort and privacy is therefore guaranteed. Beware, however, that some specific models have a bunk in one cabin. This is fine for children, but might not make your grandparents happy, for example.
Standard amenities offered by the Oceanis 50 include a fridge, sprayhood or bow trunk. Some models also come with heating for cooler nights or off-season cruises, as well as air conditioning for summer heat waves. These sailboats tend to have a nice spire mainsail, which you'll have plenty of sailing fun and trim with.
Discerning buyers should look into choosing a boat with a luxurious teak deck. This is very pleasant to walk on, lie on and look at. Our salesman will assist you with picking out a boat with specific amenities when booking.
WHERE CAN YOU SAIL FROM?
We recommend the Oceanis 50 for two families or a large group of friends who want to enjoy a nice sailing experience. In the high season you can sail her quietly around the islands off the coast, in the low season in spring or autumn you can indulge in wild sport sailing.
