A family-owned company with meticulous service
Reliability and perfect knowledge of the local market and conditions, that's in a nutshell the family charter company DMS Sailing, which has been chartering boats in Greece for more than 20 years. Among other things, its clients praise the warm welcome and the non-stop assistance service throughout the cruise. Traditional Greek hospitality is thus given an absolutely tangible dimension thanks to DMS Sailing.
A destination for beginners and advanced sailors alike
All DMS Sailing boats depart from Marina Alimos in Athens, the largest marina in Greece. Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport is an hour's drive away. You can sail to either the Saronic Gulf or the Cyclades, depending on your ability.
Those who prefer a relaxing cruise prefer the Saronic Gulf with its beautiful nature and calm waters. The local sunny weather, with winds of no more than 3 degrees Beaufort, is friendly even for beginners. On the islands you can admire stone houses, secluded beaches, swim in hundreds of bays with turquoise water and visit ancient excavations. After all, places like Corinth, Cape Sounion, Epidauros and Hydra speak for themselves.
The Cyclades, on the other hand, are the domain of experienced sailors, especially in summer when the Meltemi blows. Big waves, longer distances between islands and strong winds are not for everyone. However, the Cyclades make up for this with their beauty: the islands are full of ancient monuments, picturesque harbours, white houses and beautiful nature. If you avoid the most popular ones, such as Mykonos, you will also enjoy the many deserted coves with azure seas.
A fleet of sailing boats and catamarans
The DMS Sailing fleet includes sailboats and catamarans from the world's leading shipyards such as Lagoon, Jeanneau and Beneteau. All the yachts receive special care and are very thoroughly maintained. A meticulous team is in the marina 365 days a year to take care of everything down to the last detail.
Most boats can be chartered without crew, but also with a professional skipper or full crew. It just depends on how you want to spend your holiday at sea.
Tip yachting.com
The Aegean Sea is the most popular choice of yachtsmen who go to Greece. The main reason for this is its easy accessibility from Athens, but also its mild temperatures, steady, usually predictable winds, the absence of tides and strong currents. The many beautiful islands make sailing pleasantly varied. Take inspiration from our popular itineraries. Not sure where exactly to sail to make it worthwhile?
