List Details

The electrical output of a yacht may not be sufficient to charge your phone or laptop, so a battery power bank is a good idea. Auxiliary cables are handy for playing music in the yacht. Bluetooth speakers are a good alternative and can be used on deck where there may not be speakers. Headlight flashlights are handy for moving around the boat or using the dinghy in the dark. It is traditional to fly a flag of your home country on the yacht and can be a fun way to meet others during your holiday. In the event of rain it is a good idea to have a light rain jacket to keep you dry. It can help provide protection from the wind as well. Hats and sunglasses are critical for comfort while sailing. On a sunny day surrounded by the sea you may find yourself uncomfortably squinting without them.  Lip balm with SPF will prevent your lips from becoming chapped and sunburned. A long sleeve T-shirt will help keep the sun off of your skin without making you too hot. Water shoes for swimming will protect you from anything prickly in the water. A small waterproof boat bag can be a lifesaver for drips in the dinghy. Keep your electronics and other valuables in it to protect them from water damage. Toiletries are not included in the yacht charter so please remember to bring these with you. If you take prescription medication be sure to bring it with you in marked containers.

Challenging conditions

If you plan to sail in more challenging conditions and or inclimate weather, be sure to bring proper sailing equipment and foul weather gear.

Seasickness

If you are prone to experiencing motion sickness, you should bring seasickness pills or patches with you. These work very well and are best to have and not need rather than need and not have.
