The Bavaria models are among the most popular in the charter industry and the Bavaria 45 Cruiser is no different. As the name suggests, it is a cruiser, i.e. designed for leisurely cruises around the coast and pleasant summer holidays.
The Bavaria 45 Cruiser is a relatively heavy, stable, stocky boat with a solid hull that can hold up and offers plenty of comfort, but don't expect much in the way of sailing performance or agility. On the other hand, she's very safe and doesn't heel too much. For this reason, she is not entirely suitable for racing sailors looking for power, trim and a race with the wind. Most Bavaria 45 Cruisers have a furling mainsail, are slow to get going and slow to react due to their heavy weight. Therefore, it is definitely not a boat suitable for regattas.
Capacity and equipment
The boat can accommodate 7 to 9 people in three or four cabins. Three bathrooms are standard on almost all of these boats. You will have no shortage of space and privacy, and you don't have to worry about sailing with people you don't know or are shy about.
Most of these boats offer a bow thruster and you'll find the standard amenities on them, i.e. a fridge, dinghy, plotter (coordinate recorder), sprayhood (cockpit canopy), baden plateau and more. For detailed equipment, please ask our salesman when booking your boat. Some specific pieces also have, for example, solar panels or heating.
