A smaller sailing boat with which you can enjoy an exceptionally pleasant sailing, whether it is the summer months or the periods outside the main sailing season, i.e. autumn, spring. Thanks to its smaller size and lighter weight, the Bavaria 36 Cruiser is sufficiently agile, nimble and sailing-wise very fun.
Some models have a classic spar mainsail, others have a furling main sail. If you want to enjoy sail trimming to the max, opt for one with a classic mainsail.
Please note that the boat is not very suitable for longer cruises, as it has a smaller water tank capacity (up to 400 litres). However, if you are going to sail around the islands with occasional stops at jetties or harbours, nothing will limit you.
Capacity and equipment
The Bavaria 36 Cruiser can accommodate 6 to 8 people, depending on the certification of the particular vessel. Most boats have three cabins, some have four, but only one bathroom is available on most boats. We therefore recommend the Bavaria 36 Cruiser for people who know each other well (family, friends), as the intimacy and privacy is somewhat compromised by the number of bathrooms. Please also note that some Bavaria 36 Cruisers offer a cabin with bunk beds. This is great for children, but some adult crew members might not be too keen on this type of accommodation.
The Bavaria 36 Cruiser offers generous amenities. You'll find an additional dinghy, fridge, sprayhood (fabric cockpit protection), and some models even have heating, which comes in handy in the off-season. There is a baden plateau, which will be especially appreciated by families with children who like to swim in the sea, a bow thruster (a docking device to help when going into the marina).
