Deposit insurance applies to all EU nationals residing in the EU.

* If you are booking a boat as part of a Premium package that already includes BASIC deposit insurance, you will only pay the difference in the price of the two insurances in the EXTRA package. (e.g. for a deposit amount of €2,000 you have BASIC insurance worth €94 as part of the Premium package. If you want to take out the EXTRA option, which costs €205 for a deposit of €2,000, you will only pay an extra €111 — the difference in price between the two).
Limits of EXTRA insurance benefits
Liability insurance (for damage to property and bodily injury caused to a third party)
Maximum limits of indemnity (liability insurance) for each and all claims per policy year for each individual insured:
- Bodily injury: EUR 1 000 000,
- Damage to property: EUR 500 000,
- Other damage to property: EUR 50 000
For claims for damage caused to crew members by the operation of the vessel, the insured person's excess shall be EUR 200.
Insurance against technical defects
Maximum policy limits:
- For the rectification of one defect: EUR 500
- For the rectification of all defects for the duration of the insurance: EUR 1 000
For technical defect claims, the deductible is set at 5 %, minimum is EUR 25.
How does the deductible work?
The deductible is the above-mentioned amount which the insured will contribute to the compensation of the damage from his own funds in the event of an insured event. The insured will pay the whole of the damage up to the deductible. The insurer will only pay the amount exceeding the agreed excess.
