After leaving Messac, you will sail under the iron bridge of Port de Roche, which is decorated with the seal of Napoleon and was built for the World's Fair in Paris in 1900. Sail along the tranquil Vilaine River from Messac to Redon, before crossing the viaduct at Corbinières you will have the opportunity to stop and visit the beautiful Abbey of Saint-Saveur and its Monday markets.

The town of Redon lies at the crossroads of the Vilaine River and the Nantes à Brest canal. Here you can visit the boat museum. From Redon you can head to all sides of the world: west to the land of Merlin the magician and Viviane the fairy, to La Gacilla, a town surrounded by moss paths and moors, andto the stunning castle of Josselin, whose 600-year-old towers reflect majestically on the water. The flower-filled village of La Gacilla is lined with various cafés, restaurants and renowned shops. The Canal de Nantes à Brest is without exaggeration one of the most beautiful ever.

Towards Nantes you sail through the beautiful forests of the Gâvre between Guenrouët and Blain. In Blain there is a beautiful castle and a museum of art and tradition. Nantes is a university town with many gardens, a famous art museum, a Gothic cathedral and the castle of Anne of Brittany. The river Erdre is calm and suitable for beginners.

It is certainly a very magical region, the legend of Excalibur originated in the Broceliande Forest, the lake is said to be home to and you can visit Merlin's grave surrounded by messages with secret wishes.
