Lagoon 42
A bestselling affair. Lagoon catamarans are one of our most popular models and the Lagoon 42 in particular is extremely popular with our clients. It features a large berth capacity as well as a smaller size, which is invaluable when manoeuvring.
Who is the Lagoon 42 suitable for?
In short, it is the best possible compromise between comfort and space. It's not a huge boat that you can't fit anywhere. The Lagoon 42 simply has the ideal measurements for a leisurely cruise with friends or family. And if you like to sail, you'll appreciate the large gennaker. The article 5 reasons to rent a gennaker will tell you why it's worth it to rent a gennaker sail from a sailing charter company and what it offers compared to the basic sails.
Capacity and equipment
The Lagoon 42 has a capacity of either 10 or 12 people. In charter, Lagoons are traditionally equipped with solar panels and a large water tank, which guarantees a certain self-sufficiency during the cruise. Some particular models also have air conditioning and other nice touches to make your holiday at sea more enjoyable.
Where can you sail from?
Lagoon boats can be found in traditionally popular sailing destinations such as Croatia, Italy and Greece, but they are also popular in Saint Martin, Belize, Thailand and Saint Lucia. In exotic destinations in particular, we highly recommend renting a catamaran, as it has less draft than a single-hulled sailboat.
Lagoon Shipyard
One of the world's most renowned catamaran shipyards emphasizes innovation and pioneering. At Lagoon, new catamaran models have not only been produced but also developed since 1984. The technicians here have also completed one really interesting commission: the trimarans that appeared in the 1995 Hollywood blockbuster film Waterworld.
Maximum comfort, impressive performance
Emphasis on spaciousness, comfort and a certain degree of luxury are the hallmarks of the brand's boats. Impressive at first glance, the design is never an end in itself, always designed to allow a natural connection between the interior and the exterior. The catamarans are equipped with the latest technology and smart devices such as an electricity generator, a drinking water maker or air conditioning. Ensuring the best possible quality of your stay on board is a priority. However, comfort is not at the expense of performance, Lagoon catamarans are always pleasantly "rideable".
The most popular models
The Lagoon brand is part of the Bénéteau Group. Among the most popular models of this shipyard are the Lagoon 450 or the larger Lagoon 52. Catamarans are generally very popular in Thailand, but those from the Lagoon brand enjoy a particularly good reputation among the wealthy clientele.
