Cruising Yachts ReviewCruising yachts are primarily used for sports fishing and yachting competitions. The cruising yachts can also be used for recreational activities as well as general amusement. These yachts are normally made from fiberglass with steel hulls. Cruising yachts are said to be durable and appropriate for blue water expeditions. The average size of a cruising yacht is between 25 and 80 feet, and they will sleep 6 to 10 adults. The cruising yachts are usually powered by twin inboard motors with hydraulic steering. Some have cruising speeds up to 20 miles per hour. Cruising yachts are designed with salt water fishermen in mind. They generally offer a wide bridge with extra seating capacity. Amenities include VHF radio, FU GPS, Furuno Radar, Compass, Robertson Auto Pilot navigation systems, built in entertainment systems, hot tub in the stern deck, washers, dryers, double heads, dual queen size staterooms, air conditioning and heat, bimini top bridge, swim deck and carpeting in the cockpit. Fully functional galleys include an electric range, refrigerator/freezer, ice maker, microwave oven, and a coffeemaker. Winifred Woekl and Atlas are both known for producing quality cruising yachts. Used models are available for around $250,000, while newer models run well over $2,000,000. |
