American boat manufacturer Bertram was already a leading brand before it was purchased by Italian manufacturing giant Ferretti in 1998. Bertram made the popular Bahia Mar. Bertram is also popular for fast and stylish fishing boats, such as the twin models Bertram 360 Open and Bertram 360 Express.
Now, Bertram launched another addition to its fishing boat fleet the Bertram 390 Convertible. This 39-foot long fiberglass vessel has beam width of 134” and draft of 4. It has maximum fuel capacity of 476 gallons and water storage of 100 gallons, which makes the boat fit for an overnight fishing trip. The 390 Convertible runs on either double 480 horsepower Volvo Penta TAMD EDC, or CAT C7 engines. Both engines run on diesel fuel. The propeller type is 24x39 4-blade bronze spinners. The overall boy was given an all-white paintjob.
The bulkheads were made of composite and fiberglass materials. The deck and flybridge structure uses fiberglass sandwich construction. The cockpit features several hatches. The aft section has a salon with frameless, removable windows. The same glass design was used for the salon door. Entry to the cockpit is via molded boarding steps. The portside has a storage locker, as well at the starboard side. Removable fishbox, holders and scuppers are also located on the cockpit area.
Bertram 390s bigger sisters like the Bertram 670 Convertible has luxurious interiors. The same design applies to the 390 Convertible. Radio and cable TV systems are installed on-board. Some tech-savvy owners refitted the 390 to feature Wi-Fi internet. The galley has sink and refrigerator, while the L-shaped settee can be converted into beds.
