Sea Hunt Yachts ReviewThe Sea Hunt Boat Company was founded in 1995 by Vic Roof Sr. and Vic Roof Jr., also known as Bubba. This father/son team shares generations of experience in the marine industry and passes their knowledge on with every skiff, runabout, and center console built at Sea Hunt. Vic Roof Sr.’s marine industry experience goes back to the 1960’s when he and his brother Alvin created Sunbird Boat Company, a brand that was big in the 1980’s. Sunbird was bought by Outboard Marine Corporation (OMC), a company that Vic Sr. ran for several years before taking a short break from boat manufacturing. Upon graduating college, Bubba teamed with his father in Columbia, South Carolina, to create Sea Hunt and put their collective love for fishing and boating to use. Today, Sea Hunt claims to offer the best value in the boating industry and the most boat for the money. For instance, the Sea Hunt 260 Triton center console targets the serious fisherman and is ready to fish right out of the showroom with plenty of standard fearures such as multiple insulated fishboxes and livewells and stainless hardware. Sea Hunt center consoles offer plenty of room for 360 degrees of fishing. Sea Hunt hulls are designed to keep boaters dry and comfortable in various inclement weather conditions. PricingWith Sea Hunt’s larger center consoles, you really do get a lot of boat for your money when compared to other similar vessels. New Sea Hunt boats are priced to order, but you can expect to pay over $40,000 for a nicely equipped fishing boat. In terms of pre-owned Sea Hunt models, a 2008 Sea Hunt 260 CC Triton Center Console is listed for $56,900, and a 2009 Sea Hunt Ultra 232 center console goes for $43,995. Pros
