Cantieri di Sarnico Yachts as they are known in their home country of Italy, are more affectionately known as Sarnico Yachts here in the United States. The company opened its doors in 1992, but the first yacht didn’t hit the market until two years later. It was founded by Luigi and Antonio Foresti. The model, then known as the Maxim 55 is no longer in production today. Other models, Maxim 45, and the Maxim 40 are still in production today under the names Sarnico 45, and Sarnico 43. Though the company is very young in comparison to its competitors in the yachting industry, it has worked hard to establish itself as a forerunner. The most popular models are the Sarnicos 45, 50, 58, and 65. Dealers are not located in the United States, but are located throughout Europe in: Italy, France, Greece, Spain, and Norway. One of the boats won a Best Boat of the Year Award at Genoa in 2004.
