Pro-Line Yachts ReviewRay Atwood began the Pro-Line company in 1968 with his son Dan. Pro-Line Yachts have been at the top of the list of fine watercraft, cruisers and fishing boats ever since. The technological advances that have been made over the years include the newly discovered FIST that eliminates the need for wood which means it also eliminates rot that comes along with wood construction. The FIST formula stands for Fiberglass Integrated Structural Technology and was developed in 1994. It is a composite coring that helps make a lighter watercraft and takes the need for maintenance down to a very small amount of time. Having no wood to rot is a definite improvement among water vehicles and it is just one of the things that set this yacht builder apart from the rest. Safety and quality have always been high on the list for Pro-Line Yachts and when John E. Walker joined the team in 1991, he brought new ideas and concepts to the already successful team. In 1992, the owners of Pro-Line formed their own American Marine Holdings and placed Lee Kimmell as CEO. Acting as general manager in 2007, John E. Walker has played in integral part in the success of Pro-Line Yachts and boats alike. One of the very first vessels that the company ever built for Capt. Sam Pecorino way back from the 1960’s was bought back by the company as a reminder of the history. It also serves as a promotional item during events and is considered a piece of art as in a museum. PricingNADA guides lists the 2009 32 Express Cruiser at $113,550 for the average retail price, however, you can opt for a less expensive used Pro-Line, if you so choose. Pros
Cons
Featured ModelsPro-Line Yacht Express models include the 35, 32, 32 EC, 29, 26, 26 XP, 23, 23 XP and Express 20. ConclusionPro-Line Yacht owners boast many great experiences with the watercraft and even in the choppiest of waters, it is said to handle extremely smooth. The 35 Express Cruiser is one of the best yachts that the company manufactures and there’s no mystery why the owners testify to that fact. Built with Honda outboards, the yacht can deliver a top tournament speed of almost 50 mph and the maximum power rating is 900 horsepower for the 35 Express Cruisers. Luxury amenities are included also, like the standard TV with flat screen and DVD. The helm also has available space for portable instruments as well. Overall, the general consensus of these yacht owners is that the value and quality, as well as the luxury, is quite worth the price of the vessel. |
