Post Yachts ReviewFounded in 1957 by Russell Post, the Yacht Company known as Post Yachts continues to offer top of the line yachts and sports fishermen boats. By listening to the requests of past boat owners, the experienced team of builders have come up with the new concept of the Post 53. Many of the Post Yachts owners have stated that the improvements have been immense. With the processes of the design team, changes made strategically gave the Post 53 a new look that was stylish, performance was enhanced, and had certain amenities that would please any discerning boatsman. Sleek lines were created when they combined the classic sheer with a rake from the flybridge to the foredeck. Inside the massive cockpit there is an appearance of being unitized, featuring glassed-in joints, and including a live well and rigging station in the transom. It has a salon with a spacious lounge area, counter tops of Corian, a galley that is fully equipped including a large screen television with entertainment center. The paneling and cabinet work is made with hand-rubbed mahogany and teak woods reminding you of the craftsmanship of old. There is no comparison of any yacht builder with the joint work done by Post Yachts. Two master bedroom suites are featured in the Post 53, each having a shower, spacious storage, and a double bed with room to walk around. There is a facility for your laundry and two bunk bedrooms to accommodate your needs, and the bridge is adequate enough to offer more gear and rod storage, more seating, and even a refrigerator that is optional. Her cruising speed can be pushed to over 30 knots since it is equipped with twin 1,000 hp diesel engines. PricingPricing varies depending upon new and used yachts in the Post family, however, they run well over the $100,000 mark. A brand new 42 foot Sport Fisherman can be purchased for around $790,000. The Post 53 in the later years can be found for anywhere from $120,000 to $1 million. Pros

By incorporating stronger coring materials and laminates, the Post engineers have reduced the weight overall while also increasing its strength and rigidity. This results in less power and more speed while improving fuel economy. When Post manufactures their boats they don't cut corners using modular ways of construction, instead, they build each design piece in the hull. There is such a difference in the durability, finish, and fit that you won't ever experience creaking, flexing, or cracking with a boat manufactured by Post Yachts. |
