Pershing Yachts ReviewPershing Yachts was founded in 1981 by Tilli Antonelli along with two other seagoing friends. What was a small company producing wooden boats has grown into a company that boasts a firmly established place at the top of the world’s luxury motor yachts. Pershing SpA first started in the design and production of luxury motor yachts nearly 30 years ago, and specializes in high powered luxury motor yachts ranging in length from 46 ft to 115 ft. In 1998 Pershing became part of the Ferretti Group and gained worldwide exposure through the intense marketing efforts of the group. Pershing always keeps right up to date with the latest techniques, making use of the best materials available in order to give their boats the ultimate in comfort. They use the latest construction methods and their boats are powered by three types of transmission – propellers, hydrojets and in some cases jet engines. Some of the larger boats can reach speeds of 52 knots. Pershing operates out of a new shipyard based in Mondolfo, Italy. The smallest of the Pershing range is the Pershing 46, a remarkable 46 ft boat that sleeps 6 people. This boat has a shaft driven propeller and has a top speed of 37 knots with a displacement of a little under 40,000 lbs. There are three cabins and 3 heads. Top of the range is the Pershing 115 with a displacement of a little under 310,000 lbs. This boat has 4 guest staterooms and 4 heads as well as cabins and heads for three crew. The maximum number that can be safely carried on board is 22. The top speed of 51 knots is achieved by means of a Vericolor gas turbine engine that gives 5100 marine horse power. PricingNew Pershing yachts are priced individually on a per order basis. Our research has shown that pre-owned yachts are on the market at between $299,000 for a 2001 Pershing 45 and $4 million for a 2008 Pershing 72. Prices vary depending upon the age and the model. |
