The Luhrs family has incorporated the fruits of these discussions into their boats. They are claimed to be tough, tournament-ready for races, and intelligently designed and engineered. The company is based in Millville, NJ.

Featured Models

Launched in spring of 2010 was the new 33 Open. It is the first boat produced in the Millville, NJ plant. It has an in-transom livewell, lots of in-deck fishbox storage space, and swivel cockpit seating. A featured series line is the Canyon. In March 2009, the Canyon 37 Open was unleashed. It is the only sportfishing boat under 39 feet that contains two staterooms. Prospective buyers may choose from the Volvo IPS system or the triple Yamaha 350 outboards. It has a driver’s bench seat that allows the driver to monitor the seas ahead of him and with a simple twist of his seat, fish in the waters behind him. There is no need to get up and move to another part of the boat in order to fish. Its bimini top gives lots of protection from the sun. Its engine room is insulated and placed in the back, allowing more room on deck for the intense fisherman or for family fun and relaxation. The placement of the engine room allows room for the two staterooms down below. There is a refrigerator, galley, flatscreen TV built into the wall, and a queen-size bed that folds up. The starboard side contains a grill and a refrigerator. The maximum speed is 50 mph and its cruising speed in 30 mph.

Conclusion

Three generations of the Luhrs family have been involved in building strong, competition-ready sport fishing boats for its consumers. They incorporate the feedback of dealers, owners, and prospective owners into their boats. They have new available models (the 31 IPS Open) and a new series line (the Canyon Series). The Canyon series is innovative in that it is the only sportfishing boat under 39 feet that contains two staterooms. Luhrs boats combine the best features for serious sportfishing with the means to provide entertainment and relaxation during social activities.
