Jefferson Yacht Review

Summary

In 1982, Jefferson Yachts began producing well-engineered, reliable boats in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Since then, they have expanded into a company that produces five different series of yachts. From 35 feet to over 80 feet long, these yachts cater to a variety of people.

Pricing

Starship Series – 82’: $3.44 million; Rivanna Series – 42’: $600,000, 45’ - $625,000, 50’ - $741,000; Marquessa Series – 57’: $1.3 million, 60’ – $1.4 million, 63’ – $1.53 million; Marlago Series – 35’: $180,000; Pilothouse Series – 53’: $1 million, 57’: $1.2 million, 63’: $1.4 million, 64’ - $1.4 million

Pros

  • Jefferson yachts are diverse. Whether you want to fish with a 35’ Marlago Yacht or cruise the ocean on a 60’ Marquessa Yacht, Jefferson Yachts will accommodate either lifestyle. Also, depending on how much money you can spend, you can choose between different sizes of vessels and additional features like engines with more horsepower.
  • Jefferson yachts have ample amenities. If you like cooking, you’ll feel right at home in the galley. Or if you enjoy relaxing, the leather sofas and entertainment center will keep you plugged in to the latest show or recent movie release.
  • This company has tenure. Unlike other boating companies, this company has made boats for nearly 30 years, which proves that they can make boats that are both attractive and reliable for their customers.
  • This company’s yachts are roomy. Most of them are at least 45 feet long and 16 feet wide, which gives you freedom to invite your friends on a cruise or party with your coworkers.

Cons

  • Jefferson yachts are expensive. Even if you’re just a fisherman, you have to spend nearly $200,000 to purchase your boat. And if you’re an avid luxury cruiser, you might spend anywhere from $600,000 to $3.4 million.
  • Jefferson yachts have an abundance of electrical equipment. While this may not seem to be problematic, faulty wiring or a high electrical surge could destroy the electrical instruments. And if that happens when you’re several miles from land, you might have to do without hot water or worse, navigate at night without any lights.
  • Jefferson yachts can be oversized. While some yachts like the Marlago Series or Rivanna Series are good sizes, some of the yachts that exceed 60’ feet seem unnecessary. Unless you plan to live on one with your family for a while, you really don’t need to purchase a huge boat just for you and your wife.

Conclusion

If you enjoy luxury and love the ocean, then Jefferson Yachts may be the right boat for you. With many amenities and experienced boat engineers, you will be pleased to have a yacht that caters to you and swiftly takes you to your destination. Despite their comforts, they do cost a significant amount of money. So make sure that can afford to purchase one of the many boats made by Jefferson Yachts.
