Black Watch Yachts ReviewOriginally located on the Tweed River, in Northern New South Wales, Black Watch Yachts started when Raymond C. Hunt designed the Black Watch 26 and Black Watch 30 widely purported to be the grandfather of the vee-hull design. Black Watch has built a solid reputation based on manufacturing reliable and aesthetically pleasing vessels. As a result, they have gained a strong following of loyal enthusiasts in the world of sportsfishing. In the 1990s, the company released the Black Watch 34 which quickly proved to be an extremely popular model. It went on to become Australia’s favorite game boat and was well respected by both professional and recreational fishermen. In the late 1990s, Black Watch introduced the Black Watch 40 model which quickly out-performed and out-classed the other boats on the market. The 40 led to the development of the Black Watch 36. This model essentially redefined the standard of quality and performance for its class. In the decade that followed, Black Watch boats have since been exported to the USA, Japan, South Africa and Europe. Black Watch is currently located in the Gold Coast Marine Precinct, a location that allows its designers and builders to take advantage of state of the art facilities. One of its most popular models is the Black Watch 28 EX, which showcases a flush cockpit sole and a spacious cabin. It is the perfect choice for the recreational boater who enjoys day tripping or weekend cruises with family and friends. Its interior is fitted with a dinette that converts to a double berth for longer trips. The Black Watch 28 EX also features an optional soft-top or stainless steel bimini targa that offers shelter from inclimate weather. PricingThe prices of Black Watch boats vary from model to model.
