These four men came up with the notion to build a racing boat in an old skating rink in 1971 and the boating industry has never been the same. Over the two years after that, these men used their motivation and innovative ideas to form Baja Boats and produced their first product line that consisted of 14 – 20 footers. This included the CT 150 with the classic racing design.

The 1970’s were spent perfecting the Baja’s nontraditional designs and styling and that made them the leaders in the market of sport boats. The year of 1978 is when the Carrera 240 was introduced and shortly after the Carrera SS Bowrider was made, the Baja Boat won an award from the Powerboat Magazine for the Boat of the Year. No too many boats that are manufactured can say that they received an award for being the best within the very first year that it was produced. The Baja philosophy has always been to progressively develop their products and that is why they are one of the most innovative boat makers of our time. The 420 and 240 Sport were integrated into the Baja line in the 80’s and the .38 Special, 272, 32 Outlaw and the 20 Outlaw followed shortly thereafter. Four decades of redefining technology and innovations have become what the company calls ‘an evolution of performance’, so hold on and get ready for the next high performance generation of Baja.

Pricing

Baja Boats are inexpensively priced at approximately $25,000 and used models can be found between $16,000 and $24,000. Pricing will vary, depending upon model and size, but the Baja Boat is one affordable watercraft.
