Green Island Project

I apologize if this is not an appropriate place for this subject.

The Vision of the "Green Island Project" is a Humanitarian, Sustainability project that is concerned about the health of the Oceans... Most people don't know it, but the ocean converts over 65% of all of the carbon dioxide (green house gasses) directly into oxygen ... the stuff we breath. Over the last 2 hundred years we have been dumping raw sewage and garbage into the ocean effectively killing it; in the last 60 years, we have caused more damage to the ocean in destroying it's ability to sustain life than in all history. We have accomplished this by dumping increasing amounts of chemicals, raw sewage, and pure garbage (especially Plastice) into the harbors as well as the open sea. Scientific analysis has determined that over the last 60 - 100 years the oxygen level of the atmosphere has decreased up to 3% while the Carbon dioxide level has increased (a major factor in Global warming). Although some of this is natural, it is the destruction of the oceans capability of converting CO2 into Oxygen that has accelerated the issue (as well as CO2 created by civilization).

This issue affects everybody in the world especially at the higher elevations where the Oxygen is actually getting thinner because of the lower amount being produced. I affects the lower elevations because of the rising sea levels and the more intense sun/heat index... skin cancer, higher fuel costs for cooling, it is cycle whereas one part severly affects all the other parts in order to maintain balance.

This project is one of the very few that is not only going to research the issue in conjunction with other groups, it is going to take action by cleaning up the mess itself. Something nobody else has tried to date.

We also have a second mission... and that is with a very unique vessel that we are designing... using advanced technology we hope that it will be an inspiration to the boating and mega-yacht industry that by using this technology not only will the industry endorse the more Ocean Friendly configurations and systems within their designs.. they will demand it. That is why we are building a proof of concept vessel.

But we need help... We need people that know what they are doing in finding sources of funding to help get us off the ground. Or, we can really use your donations...

This affects everybody...

In the long term, we want to be self sufficient... but that will take several years of donations to get us to that point.

Will you help us? and in doing so, you help yoursleves. This is not a quick fix issue, it will take at least a couple of generations as well as international involvment to deal with this and clean up the oceans.

But it can be done one step at a time...
