In Fairport Harbor of Ohio, Sunshine Day is a special day when Fairport Harbor Yacht Club members take disabled, wheelchair-bound, and other residents in Parma out yachting for the day. It all started when Bob and Nancy Paige brought their son and another friend along on a boat ride on Lake Erie. Since then, Sunshine Day has been going strong for 27 years. After the yacht ride, the participants are treated to a picnic lunch and squirt gun fight. This is a great example of a tradition that has united a community in ways that are truly admirable. Yachts are vehicles for recreation and there are many yacht types available in the market. Sea Ray yachts are just one example of the numerous yacht makes to choose from.
