Yacht companies often go through changes to keep their businesses going. In this case, Hatteras Yachts, a unit of Brunswick Corp., will be consolidating its Hatteras Yachts and Cabo Yachts brands in North Carolina, where both brands have already been sharing services. Hatteras president James R. Meyer believes that moving Cabo Yachts from its Southern California location will be beneficial for the company for many reasons. At least 300 jobs will be relocated to North Carolina. The Cabo Yachts plant will be closed by the end of the year. This is just one example of yacht makes that are undergoing changes.
